Meghan Trainor – To The Moon

Meghan Trainor’s latest song, “To The Moon,” is a bop. Even though Trainor’s been around for longer than TikTok, she’s so flawlessly gained total control over the platform that she keeps hitting it big over there. Remember “Made You Look”? This time she’s decided to take us to the moon, and well, I’m not sure I want to come back to Earth.

The song’s title was originally teased in a newspaper ad Trainor took out to thank T-Pain for the verses he did on her lead single “Been Like This.” It was also used as a promo code used for the TikTok presale of her timeless tour.

“To The Moon” is a super sweet love song that also doubles as a self-confidence anthem. It’s a song about knowing your worth in a relationship. “The girl of your dreams (Girl of your dreams) / Baby, that’s me (Baby, that’s me) / I’m out of this world (Ooh) / No gravity,” Trainor sings in the opening verse of the ultra-catchy and upbeat song.

In the pre-chorus, she promises that she’s got plenty of goods to give, singing, “Yeah, so when you want some, boy, come get it / I’ma take you past your limits / I got a spaceship, come get in it / For the ride of your life.” The pounding bass just makes the song that much more memorable.

She also teased a snippet of the song’s upcoming music video, which sees her rocking a futuristic-looking helmet. The snippet clearly shows that the singer blended space and futuristic aesthetics to convey what it’s like to be the girl of someone’s dreams. There’s also the promise of special guest stars in the video, so keep a lookout for it.

According to the press release, “To The Moon” paves the way for the arrival of her sixth full-length album, Timeless, out June 7 via Epic Records. This fall will also see Trainor make her long-awaited return to the stage for The Timeless Tour. As for what fans can expect from the tour, Trainor will be performing her new tracks alongside hits from her impressive catalog.

Joining her for some dates is pop powerhouse Natasha Bedingfield. “Lil Boo Thing” crooner Paul Russell will be supporting her on all the dates of the tour. Best friend Chris Olsen and older brother Ryan Trainor will also be joining the tour as special guests, bringing their signature charisma and humor to the stage.
