Shaznay Lewis – Miracle

20 years after she first embarked on a solo career, All Saints star Shaznay Lewis arrives with a killer new single, “Miracle.”

With production reminisced of All Saints’ 2018 album Testament, Lewis sings in the chorus: “And you’ll find me / Rising where we fall / In a sunlit dream / Where nobody has been before / And it’s like nothing that you’ve seen / I can explain it all / No timе to be cynical / Right now, we need a miracle.”

“‘Miracle’ was a journey, a relentless writing process between Emily Phillips and me,” the “Rock Steady” hitmaker said about the track in a press release. “We pushed each other, we changed it a lot, and when I finally listened to it I realized it was a love song to myself, about the person I’ve been for the past 25 years and where I am now.”

“It’s a message of encouragement to return to my love of writing with self-esteem, and confidence in the way that made me happy.”

Lewis first rose to fame as one-fourth of the British girl group All Saints. During their peak, they achieved two multiplatinum albums and five No. 1 singles, including “Never Ever,” “Pure Shores,” and “Black Coffee.” The group are also winners of two BRIT Awards.

When All Saints called it a day the first time around in 2001, Lewis released music alone and dropped her first solo album Open in 2004, which she executively produced. The 11-track LP featured the top 10 hit “Never Felt Like This Before,” the dreamy follow-up “You,” and the Basement Jaxx-produced “Mr Dawg.”

“Miracle” is the first taste of what Lewis has to offer 2024. Returning to the stage, she is scheduled to perform in June at the Mighty Hoopla festival and support Sugababes with Melanie C for the Nocturne Live 2024 series at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire.

Next month, on February 8th, Lewis will be in the BBC Radio 2 Piano Room performing with the BBC Concert Orchestra with a No Doubt cover.
