Hayes Warner – Breadcrumbs (with Loren Gray)

Hayes Warner is back with another version of her runaway track “Breadcrumbs,” and this time she’s powered it up with the help of TikTok sensation Loren Gray. What did we get? “Breadcrumbs,” but with more sass.

The original release of “Breadcrumbs” gained Warner over 110k new subscribers on her YouTube channel, a clear testament to how fans hugely related to the song and its addictive hook.

Breadcrumbs / I pick one up, just to find another in the front of / Your truck [*gasp*] / That’s not my glove / If you’re gonna do it could you clean your mess up,” Warner and Gray sing in the catchy chorus, describing a sloppy cheating partner, who isn’t even conscious enough to clean up the evidence.

“Loren is not only an insanely talented singer-songwriter and such a boss businesswoman, but she’s also so fun and hilarious. We really became instant friends,” Warner said of the collaboration. “Recording this song with Loren adds a new layer to “Breadcrumbs,” driving home the idea that female friendships pack a stronger punch than painful romantic relationships or terrible exes. We want people to catch onto the carefree attitude in the song and maybe even use it as a nudge to not take relationships too seriously.”

Speaking of her immediate attraction to the song, Gray said, “The second I heard this song, I had a literal instant connection to the message and loved the melody. Having the opportunity to link up and release this collaboration with Hayes, along with our music video has been a true Girl Power moment. We hope it’s an anthem for everyone who can relate!”

The accompanying visual was directed by ROOK, who is known for his collaborations with French Montana and Rick Ross. The cinematic spy-themed video sees Warner and Gray team up to uncover the meaning of the clues a cheating lover leaves behind. At one point, they’re seen sharing clues, which then leads them to catch said lover cheating with another girl. Instead of battling it out, the girls present a united front and leave the cheating boyfriend behind.

This year has been a pivotal one in Warner’s musical career, as it saw her touring with superstar Fetty Wap, performing at the iHeartRadio Festival, and playing to a sold-out crowd at NYC’s legendary Mercury Lounge.

She will be rounding out the year with a pop-punk ballad “Worst Time of the Year” – out November 27th – and opening for pop superstar Lewis Capaldi. If you ask her about her sound, she’ll tell you that it’s “high-octane and in-your-face.”
