Brianna Perry — Fied Up

Brianna Perry debuts fiery new visual for latest single, “Fied Up.”

Miami rapper Brianna Perry’s latest release, “Fied Up” is a hot Summer anthem equipped with sassy bars and a catchy hook. Featuring bonfires and a flamethrower, the accompanying music video showcases Perry’s fit physique in flamboyant outfits. The single offers a first look at her upcoming album, Boss Bitch Boulevard set to release next month.

“Fied Up” combines the attitude of a hip-hop beat with a melodic pop chorus. The subtle bass and synths give the beat a trap feel. Perry’s verses are clear and concise with a classic Southern rap sound. She spits, “Basic bitches sit down, come and get a chair / When I walk up in the room, they gon’ stop and stare.” Her confident demeanor is infectious. The chorus is an earworm worthy of mainstream radio play, while her gritty bars are reminiscent of underground rap. Despite its repetitiveness, the single is a fun listen highlighting Perry’s rhythmic sound and Florida influence.

The music video toggles between night and day with shots of the rapper dancing in front of bonfires, cars, and even a fire truck. Her signature look is a pair of skintight shorts and flashy thigh-high boots. The visual complements her glamorous style and commanding presence.

Perry plans to keep female empowerment at the forefront of her music on her upcoming album release. She described her creative inspiration in a press release: “Boss Bitch Boulevard is queen music. I’d like to empower and inspire strong women and encourage others to be strong, to be the voice for young women who know who they are and what they want.” Perry has collaborated with rap veterans such as Missy Elliott and Trina, proving her worth as an emerging female artist. Listeners can anticipate more new music and energetic visuals from the BET Award-nominated rapper soon.
