Ashley Roberts is kicking some serious ass. The bombshell, who launched to international stardom as a member of the ultimate girl group The Pussycat Dolls, isn’t stopping at just conquering the world of music. Add television host, actress, theater leading lady, radio presenter, and Strictly Come Dancing record-breaker, and it’s easy to see why she’s become an actual star.
Creating waves on air each morning on Heart Breakfast radio, the lady with all the showbiz talk has become the subject of discussion on more than one occasion. And never happy with nailing one genre of the industry, the “Buttons” singer turned up the heat and has gone on to conquer an army of challenging and personal wins, including eating bugs and battling heights. In 2012, facing her fears head on, Roberts dived into the Australian jungle on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, adding a judging role on Dancing on Ice in 2013 and even The Jump in 2015.
But Roberts’s biggest television break — excluding Gogglebox — came thanks to a certain high-energy Saturday night dancing program back in 2018. And it’s thanks to her time on Strictly that Ashley soon became one of the UK’s most beloved stars.
“The UK has been so amazing to me, I feel like I’ve been adopted by the Brits,” she explained. “I fully accept it. I’ve been so gracious to the opportunities that I’ve been given over where. It’s home to me now and I like it!”
Roberts released her debut solo studio album back in 2014, perfectly titled Butterfly Effect, but will always have a soft spot for her place in The Pussycat Dolls. With a new tour and fresh music set to drive the UK wild, she’s about to bring her everything to whatever she lays her hand to.
As for what’s next, who knows. But Roberts will be kicking some serious booty when she does.
