Doja Cat Unveils PrettyLittleThing Collaboration

Singer/performer Doja Cat, also known as Amala Dlamini, just unveiled her first fashion collaboration with PrettyLittleThing. The online retailer is well-known for its celebrity-curated partnerships. On Nov. 16, the clothing line was launched on their website nearly a week after Doja Cat announced the collection via social media.

“This was my first time curating for a fashion brand, period! I love PrettyLittleThing and can’t wait for all my fans to see it and wear it,” the singer said in an official statement. “It was so much fun creating with Umar [Kamani] and the team. They really let me channel the essence of who I am into this collection.”

The collection is full of 26 unique pieces that were crafted to be similar to the singer’s signature style and personality, including faux leather wide-leg pants and three different trench coats.

“This first collection was inspired a lot from the ’60s and ’70s,” Doja Cat said in an interview with Paper. “I wanted it to feel like business meets the club, so very wearable, but also sophisticated and very sexy. I paired a lot of trench coats with flared slacks, but a lot of the materials are snakeskin and leather and vinyl, so it has that edginess to it, but it still feels sophisticated and pulled back.”

Doja Cat unveiled the new clothing line in a Marilyn Monroe-inspired fit at a launch party in West Hollywood. Celebrities like Saweetie, Quavo, and French Montana were in attendance at the party on Sunday night.

Doja Cat hinted at a future of possible surprises, like the clothing line, outside of the music industry. Until her next project, you can shop her line for the eccentric attire for any themed party or a post-lockdown night out. Check out the new curated collaboration on PrettyLittleThing and shop a few of the pieces for yourself.
