Peace Out Skincare Collaborate with LGBTQ Non-Profit The Trevor Project

Shopping with a purpose? Yes please!

Tik Tok mavens Peace Out Skincare are well-known for their iconic products – a majority of which have been featured in industry-leading magazines like Allure, Vogue, and POPSUGAR. The San Francisco-based label is trending once again, however, this time it’s due to their recent announcement of a collaboration with The Trevor Project; an LGBTQ non-profit help center.

After Peace Out announced this extraordinary collaboration, their Senior Director of Marketing and Strategy spoke to WWD. In her interview, she mentioned this partnership was a match made in heaven. Namely, because Peace Out Skincare is “an LGBTQ-founded brand, as well as many of the members of our team [are LGBTQ]. The Trevor Project was the perfect organization for us. For us, as we continue to grow, it was important to put a stake in the ground and pick a partnership we could help make a positive impact.”

In addition to their new and noteworthy collaboration with The Trevor Project, the San Francisco-based line of cosmetics is also partnering with their local SF LGBT Center. A local non-profit community center that provides vital resources to the local community like youth services, employment services, housing services, and a whole host of other valuable resources. As Peace Out Skincare states the whole ethos of “putting a stake in the ground” is so they can give back to the community. In doing so, the team behind Peace Out Skincare is able to help support and connect “diverse communities to achieve a healthier, more equitable future for our LGBTQIA+ communities”.

For those unaware of the services that The Trevor Project offers to the LGBTQ community, let us give you the low-down on all of the information. At its most fundamental level, The Trevor Project connects LGBTQ youth with trained counselors. Licensed individuals capable of providing a secure, judgment-free place to talk at TrevorLifeline (1-866-488-7386), TrevorChat, or TrevorText (text START to 678-678). Which is an incredibly crucial resource, considering that LGBTQ individuals often encounter steeper rates of mental health challenges due to a whole host of varying factors [as opposed to their cisgender, heterosexual peers]. Aside from their literal lifeline, The Trevor Project additionally provides a whole host of resources for allies to get educated and support their LGBTQ friends and family.

When you boil it all down, this new collaboration between Peace Out and The Trevor Project really is a “match made in heaven”. However, Peace Out Skincare isn’t just content with creating a “one-off” virtue-signaling collaboration. Instead, on their latest Instagram post, they’ve hinted that this is just the beginning. With the brand seeking to expand further into volunteer partnerships and donations. Although the collaboration is still running, the window to donate $2.00 to The Trevor Project via Peace Out Skincare to receive 20% off your next purchase has since closed [11/14/2020]. Which in all honesty is a bit upsetting. As we would’ve loved to see this option be extended for longer than two days. After all, who doesn’t want to save some coin purchasing amazing products like Peace Out Pores – Detoxifying Nose Pore Strips for $10 USD or Peace Out Puffy Eyes – Depuffing Under Eye Patches for $25 USD (£19.00 GBP) while also donating to an astounding non-profit?!

All things considered, if you’re still in the giving mood this season, The Trevor Project accepts donations straight from their website where you can donate directly. Which I’ve heard from reliable sources is an action that is not only a match made in heaven– but is bound to water your crops and clear your skin. No cap.
