We can all use some new additions to our skincare routine to make sure our products are working effectively. With most of us working from home, it’s important to take your skincare routine to the next level, you owe it to yourself. A handful of these products have made such a difference in my skin and I’ve learned which ingredients my skin responds best to through testing.

Treatments
Skincare treatments should help us maintain the overall health of our skin and target problem areas. From chemical exfoliants, peels, and acids – these products should be used to spot, treat, and improve the condition of your skin over time. Treatments can be intimidating, but these few are simple ways to ease yourself into a potent and targeted solution.
The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution – $7.20
You can never go wrong with the price and quality of The Ordinary. The AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution has been all over YouTube and TikTok and is certainly worth the hype. Not only does it look super cool going onto your face, but the ingredients provide abrasive-free exfoliation and most have noticed a difference after just one use. You need this in your skincare arsenal! Be careful though– this shouldn’t be used more than 2-3x a week!
First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance AHA Intensive Peel – $32
First Aid Beauty is known for its nourishing product line and the Radiance AHA Intensive Peel is no exception. This is such a great solution to aid with fine lines, dullness, and uneven texture. I would also recommend this one if you’re looking to brighten your complexion after continued use.
Obagi Clinical Blue Brilliance Triple Acid Peel – $145
Talk about a triple threat – it’s all in the name. The Obagi Clinical Blue Brilliance Triple Acid Peel is made to exfoliate, smooth, and retexturize your skin for increased radiance. If you can’t make it a salon, this is the next best solution for a clinical quality peel. These three potent acids include salicylic, glycolic, and lactic acids which work brilliantly together to deliver notable results for a more youthful appearance.
Masks
Who doesn’t love a good mask moment? Whether you’re having a relaxing night in or getting ready for a special occasion where your skin needs some extra T.L.C., these masks are sure to provide visible results. Lately, I’ve been more into moisturizing masks than clay or exfoliating masks because I feel I get enough treatment out of my retinols and peels. I also love packing some of these on trips to use post-flight for extra hydration when my skin could use it most.
Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask – $48
This is a holy grail hydrating mask for sure! The Jet Lag Mask by Summer Fridays is full of calming ingredients like niacinamide, chestnut extract, and Vitamin C to combat dry, tired, and inflamed skin. Sleep with it on and I promise you’ll wake up to a smoother and more radiant complexion. It works wonders after a long work week or a late night out.
Drunk Elephant F-Balm Waterfacial Mask – $52
I cannot rave about Drunk Elephant enough and this product is definitely a favorite. If you’re experiencing dry patches or duller skin, I highly suggest giving the F-Balm Mask a try. It’s formulated with a unique blend of electrolytes, Vitamin F, and niacinamide which are heroes for soothing your skin and improving overall texture. Wear it overnight and prepare for noticeable results after one use.
Farmacy Honey Potion Renewing Hydration Mask – $56
We all know honey is a natural antiseptic that works wonders for cleansing and healing our skin. The Farmacy Honey Potion Renewing Hydration Mask comes with a magnetic spatula for easy application and transforms into a white cream that you can feel warming on your skin. This product is a lifesaver for softening and revitalizing your skin. I’ve noticed how much more supple and clear my skin was after continued use about twice a week, as needed.
Serums
Let’s face it, we want our serums to do the heavy lifting and provide us with all of the benefits we desire. What I find most fun about serums, is that I can swap them out accordingly based on my skin’s current needs. After some trial and error, I promise that these powerhouse serums will not disappoint.
The Ordinary Niacinimide 10% – $5.90
First off, yes you are reading that price correctly. The Ordinary 10% Niacinamide serum is a foolproof way to test out the ingredient on your skin at high potency. If you like what you see after regular use, then Niacinamide is effective for your skin type. I’ve noticed tiny breakouts subside and redness on my cheeks calm with this product and it’s ideal during colder winter months when I need extra balance and care.
Dr. JART+ Peptidin Radiance Serum – $48
This was one of the first Dr. Jart products I’ve tried and I truly love the feeling of wearing the Peptidin Radiance Serum. The eight-peptide complex provides a subtle glow and instantly plumps fine lines and wrinkles for a smoother appearance. The smell is divine as it contains a peach flower extract.
Obagi Clinical Vitamin C+ Arbutin Brightening Serum – $90
I would easily recommend the Obagi Clinical Vitamin C+ Arbutin Brightening Serum for more mature skin as it helps reduce dark spots due to hyperpigmentation or general aging. The key ingredient of 10% L-Ascorbic Acid addresses loss of firmness and overall dull complexions. The clean ingredient list is a no-brainer if you’re looking for an easy, everyday brightening serum that will improve your skin over time.
Moisturizers
It’s safe to say that finding the right moisturizer is such a personal experience. The perfect moisturizer creates an even base for light, heavy, and no makeup days so it’s important to find formulas that work best for your skin type and daily routine. I personally love dual benefit moisturizers that keep me hydrated, without a heavy, sticky, or greasy feeling.
The Inkey List Peptide Moisturizer – $14.99
If you’re looking for a boost in radiance and all-day hydration, The Inkey List’s Peptide Moisturizer is a great addition to your skincare routine. The rich cream consistency repairs damaged and flaky skin as the potent peptides support the existing proteins of your skin. I’m definitely looking forward to wearing this on colder fall and winter days for extra comfort and nourishment.
Obagi Clinical Kinetin+ Hydrating Cream – $55
The Obagi Clinical Kinetin+ Hydrating Cream is ideal if you happen to notice rough or bumpy patches in the texture of your skin. The combination of Vitamin B and Vitamin E helps condition the skin and continue to defend it after you have it applied. Think of this rich cream as your armor against free radicals throughout the day.
Shiseido Vital Perfection Uplifting & Firming Day Cream – $135
The name speaks for itself. The Vital Perfection Uplifting & Firming Day Cream by Shiseido will invigorate your skin to lift, sculpt, and hydrate at the same time. Noted to enhance the appearance of your facial contours and provide increased definition, I could easily see women in their early 30’s loving this one. Plus, the added SPF 30 is great to avoid layering sunscreen.
Sunscreen
If applying sunscreen is not already the final step of your routine, I would highly recommend making the change to ensure you’re fully protected. Sunscreen will help you keep a more even skin tone while blocking those harmful UV rays. I promise that these products do not give off a white-cast, smell pleasant, and are not sticky. Editor’s tip: For SPF to truly protect your skin, please use SPF 30 and above!
SuperGoop! Glowscreen SPF 40 – $36
I’m sure you’ve heard rave reviews on this one. What I love most about SuperGoop!’s Glowscreen is the fact that it is a high-quality makeup primer with SPF 40 and blue-light protection. It also contains the fan-favorite ingredient, hyaluronic acid which aids in boosting moisture in your skin. This really does it all and provides an even base for your makeup for double the protection.
ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 – $46
I’ve been all about these sunscreen combination products lately and the ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint has a top-notch formulation. It contains an SPF 40 and leaves a light, dewy finish on your skin with a hint of sun-kissed color. The best part is that it comes in a range of shades so you can stick as close to your natural color as possible or go up a few tones if you plan on getting some sun.
ReVive Soleil Superieur Body SPF 50 – $165
One thing we shouldn’t forget about when it comes to SPF is our bodies. ReVive’s Soleil Superieur Body in SPF 50 is full of skin-loving ingredients like Vitamin E, L-Carnosine, and Silybin which help neutralize free radicals that can lead to premature aging. This is a great body sunscreen for women looking to see improvements with crepey skin due to excessive sun exposure.
