South London producer, DJ and singer, Bklava, debuts on Ministry of Sound with her new record “Thinkin’ Of You.”
“Thinkin’ Of You” is a nostalgic 90s garage bop, which sees Bklava further hone her 2-step sound.
The accompanying music video has a distinctly DIY feel, featuring lots of vibey Charli XCX style visuals. It’s a perfect fit for Bklava’s aesthetic.
“So tell me did we really have it all? / Or did we lose our way? / Can’t resist you even though it’s wrong,” Bklava sings on the catchy chorus, questioning a tricky relationship – a classic garage topic.
Despite only starting her music career last year, Bklava has already worked with big names such as Annie Mac, M.O.A.D, and Conducta. Now that she’s signed to legendary electronic music label, Ministry of Sound, “Thinkin’ Of You” is the creator’s first release. It marks the start of an exciting era of dancefloor fillers for the budding creator.
If that wasn’t enough to keep her busy, Bklava also founded the female and non-binary DJ platform Spin Suga and eponymous radio show.
“Thinkin’ Of You” follows Bklava’s previous releases “Take Time,” “Cntrl,” “Got It Good,” and “Through The Night.”
