K-pop superstars BTS deliver a message of fighting all odds in their summer single “Stay Gold,” taken from their upcoming album Map Of The Soul: 7 – The Journey. The pleasant offering exudes positive energy both in terms of soundscape and lyrics.
The upbeat ballad talks about staying “gold” and overcoming all obstacles that come your way, without losing self-confidence. The previously unreleased song that was included as a bonus track on the Japanese edition of their recent Map of the Soul: 7 album-hit streaming on Friday (June 19) and immediately gained chart-busting popularity as expected of the super septet.
Providing comfort while still having a blast, vocalist, V croons, “Even the clock hands / Will stop moving / Uh let it glow” in the pre-chorus, before the remaining vocal line– Jungkook, Jimin and Jin– join to deliver a seamlessly blended chorus singing “Stay gold Even in a dream / Stay gold / I’ll find you / Stay gold, gold / I want to see you / Stay gold/ You are everything/ Stay gold/ For everyone.” The septet – aka RM, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook– who have jointly created the dynamic offering, remind us to take a moment for ourselves in our relentless busy lives to soak in some much-needed positive energy.
