Lilla Vargen today premieres her heartbreaking new ballad, “Love You Twice” with EUPHORIA.
For fans of Billie Marten and Laura Marling, Lilla Vargen is an up-and-coming Northern Irish singer-songwriter with an enchanting vocal ability. Throughout the folky “Love You Twice,” Vargen showcases soft, delicate lilts and powerful, soaring vocals as she sings about the relatable pain of losing a lover.
“I wrote this song in my room on my guitar about a year ago. ‘Love You Twice’ is about having a second chance with someone and trying to find the common ground that you build that relationship on. I put it in my live set towards the end of last year and it always got a beautiful reaction, so I’m really excited to share the studio version with everyone” says Lilla.
The song’s affecting lyrics hit hardest on the chorus as Vargen sings:
“Before we lost it all / Before we paid the price / I loved you once / Now won’t you let me love you twice”
Having supported Dermot Kennedy on a huge European tour, Lilla Vargen will be setting off on her own headline tour this fall, including a London show at Lafayette.
