To support the fight against the COVID-19 global pandemic, Private Policy has teamed up with The Ali Forney Center to support their #LoveAli campaign. The AFC is the nation’s largest agency dedicated to protecting LGBTQ youths from the harms of homelessness by empowering them to live independently and provide tools and resources needed.
Private Policy has designed an exclusive t-shirt where all proceeds will go directly to AFC. The AFC #LoveAli t-shirts can be purchased on GoFundMe or Private Policy’s website starting on Thursday, April 9th, 2020 for $80. T-shirts have been made in sizes XSmall, Medium, and XLarge.
During this time of uncertainty, AFC must keep its doors open and are taking all necessary precautions to keep their youth members and staff safe by limiting exposure where possible. They have suspended outside groups and volunteers from visiting their Harlem drop-in center and shelter sites. AFC recognizes that it is best for their members to refrain from travel and has provided designated zones for anyone that has been exposed to COVID-19 or sick at the moment.
With the increasing number of people out of jobs, homelessness is rising and almost all of the programs at AFC have been running seamlessly. Private Policy is known for giving back to organizations whenever possible and this truly shows their passion to help those in need during COVID-19 and the members of AFC.
