Grammy-nominated Icelandic rock band, KALEO, have today released their first new music in over three years.
“I Want More” and “Break My Baby” were written solely by the band’s frontman, JJ Julius Son. They’re a brilliant herald from the band for what’s to come.
“I Want More” is a gorgeous summery track that from the opening whistle to the delicate guitar chords transports you to a sun-dappled nostalgia that would fit right into a Nicholas Sparks film soundtrack.
“Break My Baby” on the other hand, is a harder, badass track filled with Julius Son’s croaky, enthralling vocals.
KALEO broke through the noise with their globally successful record, A/B, which gave them three hit singles – “Way Down We Go”, “All The Pretty Girls” and “No Good”. Together, they’ve been streamed over one billion times.
Riding high off their monumental success, the band toured almost non-stop for the past three years, playing all over the world, from London to Moscow. Following that, Julius Son has had his head down in the studio, grafting away on KALEO’s highly-anticipated follow-up music.
To make matters even better, KALEO are set to release an album that unpacks all of the past years’ lived experiences.
