Plested has today released the emotional, acoustic-tinged single, “The Least That I Could Do”.
Known for his skilled musical storytelling, British singer-songwriter Plested’s latest track is a relatable, romantic ballad about how he would do anything for the one he loves. “I swear I’d die just to keep you alive / ‘Cos darling, that’s the least that I can do” he croons on the chorus.
“This is easily my favourite song I’ve ever written. I was thinking about my Mum and how much we all sacrifice for the people that we love. I’d written down the phrase “the least that I could do is die for you” in my book, so I locked myself away in the studio with a friend and we wrote it all in one day! I love that I can sing my absolute heart out in the chorus, yet still be so honest and personal in the verses….”
Plested first made a name for himself penning tunes for big names such as Lewis Capaldi, The Chainsmokers, Little Mix and Kygo, among others. Last year, he stepped out into the spotlight and released his own music. This year has been his biggest yet, seeing Plested tour with Alec Benjamin, Nina Nesbitt and Maisie Peters.
