Tiz EUPHORIA

Premiere: Katy Tiz – Life

Katy Tiz is back. And she’s making sure that it’s for good this time.

Katy’s new single, “Life” premieres today with EUPHORIA. Featuring Ed Drewett, who’s written for stars such as One Direction, Little Mix and Olly Murs, it’s more stripped back than what we’re used to hearing from Katy. However, she revealed that it’s because she had “full on laryngitis” when she recorded it, so it’s less polished pop and more of an honest and stripped back track.

Originally, Katy started her career in 2011, releasing her first song nine years ago. Working with her producer brother, George, and their friend, Rick Parkhouse (they’ve since worked with Charlie Puth, 5 Seconds of Summer and James Arthur), the trio created Katy’s song, “The Big Bang” back in 2014. She later landed a record deal with Atlantic and released “Whistle (While You Work It)” in 2015, which has had over 19 million streams on Spotify to date.

“The funny thing about life is that you just have to trust the timing of it,” Katy tells us. “I’ve finally learned that. We created “Life” four years ago and I have believed in it ever since. “Life” shows a different side to me.”

“The verses are reminiscent of an outlaw love, like Bonnie and Clyde. I haven’t actually stolen all my dad’s money, run away, and been locked up in jail – yet – but the hook is something we can all relate to. Everyone has felt that heart wrenching moment when you break up with someone or lose something amazing and you feel like you will have that painful feeling for life. So, I hope you like it and if you don’t, just tell me that you do. Here goes nothing.”
