Hembree – Holy Water

Energetic three-piece Hembree out of Kansas City storm onto the scene with another fast paced, grinding, heavy, alt rock tune in the shape of “Holy Water.”  It has a lively, underground beat that almost feels hypnotic in formation until lead singer Isaac Flynn grabs the track by the scruff of the neck and pull it into a sultry, sheltered vibe before catapulting it straight back into the dark driving beat that scorched the intro.

Overall “Holy Water” is just so damn catchy, channeling the wily mathrock nous perfected by Foals with their rollicking bass and drum lines simply matched in volume only by Flynn’s yelling. With air time on some major radio stations, expect big things from the little band out of Missouri who play one last show before the New Year; The Bottleneck in Lawrence, Kansas on December 30.
