BANNERS – Holy Ground

Almost a month following the release his previous single, “Into The Storm,” Michael Nelson, better known by his stage name BANNERS, returns with another chilling tune, “Holy Ground.” BANNERS has been rising in popularity in the past couple of months, with his song “Half Light” previously featured in the E! series The Royals and it really is no surprise why. We’ve covered just about every release from BANNERS here at EUPH. and with each new release, he reminds us once again why we love him so.

“This is a song about special people and special places, and keeping those memories with you wherever you go,” BANNERS said in an interview.

An absolutely enchanting tune, the song fills your soul with tranquility and leaves you in a state of serenity, one perfect for ending off a long day. Starting off with a soft guitar melody, the tune slowly builds up, incorporating harmonious piano chords and his angelic vocals. The amount of control he has over his vocals never fail to amaze me and once again, it shines through in this track. His familiar raspy vocals and rich falsetto lifts the song to great heights, rounding off the song and turning it into an emotional and well-rounded ballad.
