Richard Hutchison, Imran Mair, David Cuzner and Edward Thomas make up the London-based indie rock quartet Twin Wild. With a heavy following in France, according to their Spotify listener stats, Twin Wild has most commonly been discovered from the Apero Spotify playlist – a French slang word for an alcoholic drink taken as an appetizer before a meal to stimulate appetite. And Twin Wild’s new track “Willow Tree” is just that, a quick taste of something great preparing us for something better to come.
Steady drums, stomping bass and pulsating guitars combine with Hutchinson’s husky rocker vocals to propel listeners through this track with a desire for more. The latest off of Twin Wild’s Twin Wild’s forthcoming EP, My Heart, due out later in the year is “Willow Tree.” The track already has over 100,000 plays on Spotify since it’s release last month and even found the #1 spot on Spotify Sweden’s Viral chart.
Twin Wild’s forthcoming EP, the band’s debut release since signing with the label Play It Again Sam, is likely to make Twin Wild a powerful, new voice in British Rock. And, like any good apero, “Willow Tree” is getting listeners warmed up and hungry for more.
We got to hang out with the band in London. Check out some snaps from their soundcheck in London below.
