Ten Tonne Heart – Blinding Lights

South London newcomers Ten Tonne Heart premiere uplifting debut single “Blinding Lights” via EUPHORIA. With The Maccabees last week announcing they are calling it a day, “Blinding Lights” sees its timely debut bow as Ten Tonne Heart seek to pick up the guitar-led anthemic pop mantel from day one.

The track is one of shimmering depth in the verses, accented by the stadium-ready chorus. Meanwhile, the bridge that drops in at around the two minute mark carries delectable harmonies, rolling percussion and tumbling guitars comparable to indie-rock greats Arcade Fire. Then, just as it eased in, the track fades back into nothing with one last crash of the cymbal.

Having firmly planted their flag in the ground with this burgeoning statement piece, look out for Ten Tonne Heart in the future as they plan for a double A-side single release.
