We catch up with Glasgow rockers WHITE for the second installment of their tour diary following the release of crunching new single “I Liked You Better When You Needed Me.”
“The last few weeks have been electric.
Once a month we take over The Lexington in Kings Cross London and we change the set and vibe for every show we do there. Last months saw us go for a clubby acid house vibe. Heavy strobes and neon projections joined us onstage and got the audience into a trance. This will not me the last time we leave the audience entranced playing a show like this…”
“Latitude Festival was a immense. We played to a packed out Alcove stage, drank cocktails, bought some slick new jackets, drank cocktails saw New Order and Grimes, drank cocktails and swam in the lake. Not bad at all. Can we go back next year?”
“Back on the road again but this time to Deer Shed Festival in Yorkshire. Was great to hook up with our buddies from Everything Everything and if you haven’t already checked it out make sure you check out their remix of Blush (here) they did a while back. It’s a banger…”
“Finishing up at Y-Not Festival in Derbyshire. We played there last year to a crowd of interested people who left buzzed and intrigued at what they had just seen. It was so sweet and to be honest we were blown away to play in front of a huge crowd of people who were already into the band, knew our songs and knew they were there for a party. Dancing was had and songs were sung. We won’t forget it.”
“It was sick as usual to share the van journey and hang out with our mates Baby Strange who played Y-Not later in the day. We did a tour together earlier in the year, get drunk together an awful lot and are headlining the O2 ABC in Glasgow this December. Their show was as usual an absolute screamer and some of us can’t quite remember the journey home. Next up we hit Belladrum, Edinburgh Festival and Boardmasters in Cornwall. I leave you with a warm embrace from Chris from WHITE and Johnny Baby Strange.”
