North-London quartet Palace give a smouldering video accompaniment to latest single, “Break The Silence.”
The track is somewhat of a release from the material on their earlier Chase The Light and Lost In The Night EPs. There’s been an enraging injection of pace to supercharge the once bluesy groove, laidback guitar licks and lazy vocals, ramping it up into a hazy rock that would not have been out of place on the last Foals record. It teeters on the edge of frenzy, menacingly building into each round of the chorus where the sound spills over. The video is equally drenched in indignation, the release for which comes in the form of arson.
“Break The Silence” will feature on Palace’s hugely-anticipated debut album So Long Forever, set for release on November 4th. Speaking about the album, Palace explain, ““Our album is a great summary of where Palace are as a band. It’s a culmination of very early songs and new ones. We wanted an album that takes you on a journey through different emotions and ups and downs.” The band are also touring extensively following the release.
