“Wheat” is the single from Wilderado’s forthcoming EP Latigo. This LAÂ based four piece band fits comfortably with country-influenced melancholic rock bands such as My Morning Jacket. Dust ridden vocals pair with clean instrumentation–a steady beat overlaid with electric guitar and the occasional sprinkle of keyboard or synth.
The album cover shows a lone figure, skipping across the desert. The sparse but compelling imagery is a fitting counterpart for this track. Easy listening with a diversity of influences, “Wheat” is also more coherent than previous offerings. Stay tuned for Latigo.
