Palm Honey – You Stole My Blackout

Reading four-piece Palm Honey return with “You Stole My Blackout,” their first single of 2016.

The quartet’s laid-back psych-pop tracks have already seen them be mentioned in the same breath as the likes of Tame Impala and this latest burst will likely lull you into a sonically-induced trance of hazy distortion. However, for me, “You Stole My Blackout” wins most in the funky guitar motif that appears throughout and walks listeners through the swirling mist and into the dramatic crescendo that provides a stylish freakout of an outro.

Having already supported the likes of YAK, The Vryll Society and Mild High Club, adding this new single to their arsenal will strengthen their already buzz-worthy live shows for which the band pride themselves, striving to give the audience a special experience and make sure each performance is different from the last.
