English five-piece band Blossoms has just unveiled yet another amazing new track, “Getaway.” Their EP At Most A Kiss was very well received, hitting No. 1 on iTunes. Most recently, they’ve just completed a UK tour. You can catch them at a few upcoming festivals this year including Glastonbury, T in the Park, Reading and Leeds.
“Getaway” is shows off Blossoms at their best. With an infectious melody and a rhythmic beat, “Getaway” is sure to leave you dancing along.
The visual accompaniment for the track doesn’t disappoint as well. Incorporating elements from the cheesy, sci-fi of the 70s into the video as the band performs under red and blue lights, it tells a story of an alien trying to return to its home planet. The video tells a story and with the dreamy arrangements of the song, it could not have been more perfect a fit.
This is the first I’ve heard from Blossoms but it definitely will not be the last. With “Getaway,” they have got me hooked. I am on my way to checking out their EP and anxiously waiting for more from them.
