Pleasure House – Cyan

Birmingham band Pleasure House return with another dose of their self-styled “deliciously dirty indie dance-pop” as they gear up for the release of their Show Your Colours EP. The color in question is opening track “Cyan,” a typically uptempo psych-pop rock’n’roll track in keeping  with the band’s previous works such as “Like A Drug,” “Sunrise” and “Blow My Mind.” Backed by a crunching series of power chords, the quintet have stepped it up a notch with this latest single, piling layer upon layer of scuzzy guitar, steady percussion and frontman Alex Heffernan’s crisp vocals which shine out above the energetic instrumentation. The quartet even have time for a lulled bridge, stripping back to an eerie swirl as Heffernan is allowed to continue guiding the track to its climactic end.

Pleasure House show their colors with the release of their debut EP, Show Your Colours, on March 25th. The four-track release will contain the following:

  1. Cyan
  2. Wasted On Me
  3. Why’d You Have 2 Go?
  4. M.O.B
