“Something has changed in the air… Changes of love beckons you and me”
“Pinetrees” is compelling from the start. The catchy, synthy backbeat picks up and combines with the almost soulful voice of the lead vocalist for a unique indie pop experience. The refrain calls to mind the moody dreaminess of artists like Lana del Rey, and the significance of the pine trees is anyone’s guess. There is very little information available on the actual band; track “Pinetrees,” attached to The Coat, was posted on Soundcloud just over two weeks ago, and was followed shortly by two more tracks, “Ocean” and “Bad Dreams.”
