Young Rising Sons – The Kids Will Be Fine

“You’re so f****d up but I love it, you’re so obtuse but I love it anyway.”

The 2010 formed quartet of New Jersey natives guitarist Dylan Scott, bassist Julian Dimagiba, drummer Steve Patrick, and lead vocalist Andy Tongren have formed a rebellion with the release of their new EP The Kids Will be Fine. The electrifying ensemble depicts immediate classic pop vibes acts circa The Beatles meshed with the indie rock influences amidst the likes of Fun. and Death Cab for Cutie. The result is a feel good collection of melodies that is utterly tantalizing and exciting; a refreshing take on contemporary music.

The Kids Will be Fine features the fan favorite, “F****d Up,” an ode to the hopeless relationship we cannot help but continue. The five tracks are seemingly vintage in that Tongren has chosen a vocal filter that provides the listener with an experience unlike any other pop-rock artist. Each is part of a composition that sets one back to Greasers and diners, and truthfully, we all want to pop on a leather jacket and slick back our hair with a sticky glob of gel. The songs certainly maintain a vibe of classic rock, but it is the eminent blend of pop melodies in conjunction with the heavy instrumentals that allows Young Rising Sons to maintain their keen sense of individuality and exciting original content.

The band have announced that they will be heading out on a fall headlining tour. The “Let The Kids Riot Tour” will begin October 28th in Santa Ana, CA with supports from Night Riots and The Mosers. The EP is now available for purchase on iTunes or streaming on Spotify and SoundCloud.
