The Plastics – Table Manners

South Africa’s The Plastics have put out new single “Table Manners,” a sign of things to come on the band’s soon to be released third album, In Threes. Paired with last year’s offering “All I Really Want,” the band are blossoming with their new psychedelic pop-rock sound.

Although the Cape Town quartet always seem to sound so laid back and easy going, the track is underpinned by a much more intricate and energetic layers of guitar, keys and percussion. Band member Pascal Righini explains the thoughts behind the song: “Table manner are manmade and rigid, whereas this song is free and lucid and all about exploring and listening. It is about escaping the noise of modern life and opening your eyes, mind and ears to everything around you. It is as much about forgetting as it is about discovery.”
