“I’ll never let go, you’re right beside me so just close your eyes. I’ll never let go, you’re all that I need, so just close your eyes.”
It’s no shock that RHODES is probably one of our favorite artists at the moment. We’ve written about (and absolutely adored) almost every one of his releases and even had the pleasure of interviewing him before his largest headlining gig at Village Underground.
His latest release is the lead single off his highly anticipated debut album, Wishes, due out in September. He explains the track is “about my fear of performing… I wanted to make this a little more ambiguous so I changed it to the third person and made it more about me talking to somebody else– when it’s really me talking to myself.” He told us exclusively prior to his gig in London that seeing the venue empty with all the lights really made him feel proud of himself for overcoming his fear of performing live.
