“Kill the static, get it automatic. You got the cocaine eyes, raised on the sly. So take my number, return to sender.”
The latest infectious offering from Ben Khan is finally here and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. Taken from his anticipated EP of the same name, “1000” is a pulsing and rhythmic track that features splashy synths, heavy riffs and a blues-inspired bass. This frenetic arrangement plays well with Khan’s seductive lyrics as he flirts alongside the music and hypnotizes the listener.
Perhaps more impressive is the production behind Khan’s work. Represented by his own label, Blessed Vice, Khan writes, produces and sings his tracks, all in the comfort of his bedroom studio. It’s with this ingenuity that Khan is both in control and in demand for his stellar work.
Make sure to pre-order “1000,” the four-track EP expected to excite and entice listeners on May 11.
