Wet – Don’t Wanna Be Your Girl

“You can’t do me right. So I decide that I don’t wanna be your girl no more. No more. I just wanna see you up and out. Out of the door.”

Wet, the three-piece-band from Brooklyn, released their music video for “Don’t Wanna Be Your Girl” on October 9th. The track was taken from their self-titled debut EP which is available now. The song is eerily good despite how seemingly simplistic it sounds.

The video is nicely edited displaying shots of what appears to be home videos overlapping beautiful wooded scenery. The home video shots are interwoven with scenes of stunning lead vocalist, Kelly Zutrau, as she roams the woodsy wilderness naked and covered in mud. The striking imagery goes well with Zatrau’s haunting and heartbroken voice. The theme of the video seems to imply a girl who has been reborn as she wanders; or perhaps the discovery or herself again.
